DUI Checkpoints Planned Across LA For Super Bowl Weekend

Police will hold several DUI checkpoints and saturation patrols across Los Angeles through Super Bowl Sunday.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Los Angeles police and sheriff's deputies will be out in force looking to catch intoxicated drivers over the super bowl weekend.

Police in Los Angels County have numerous saturation patrols and DUI checkpoints that began Thursday and will continue through Sunday.

“If you are watching the game at home and plan to have a drink or two, stay at home”, LAPD Commander Woodyard said. “Have a family member who hasn’t been drinking go out on your behalf or have your food delivered.”

Super Bowl LV between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. PST Sunday at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
