DUI Suspected In Crash Through Brewery's Entrance

A pedestrian and a driver were injured Tuesday when a vehicle plowed into The Brews Hall brewery in Torrance.

TORRANCE, CA — A driver struck a pedestrian in a Torrance crosswalk Tuesday before spinning out of control and slamming into The Brews Hall brewery. Both the driver and the pedestrian suffered moderate injuries and were hospitalized. The crash is being investigated as a possible DUI., according to the Torrance Police Department.

The crash damaged the brewery's entrance. The woman suspected of the DUI was driving southbound on Del Amo Circle East and allegedly sped through a stop sign at the intersection of Plaza Del Amo, where she struck a pedestrian walking in the crosswalk at about 2:30 p.m., according to Sgt. Mark Ponegalek of the Torrance Police Department.

From there, she lost control of her car and crashed into the entrance of The Brews Hall brewery at 21770 Del Amo Circle East, Ponegalek said.

No one inside the brewery was injured in the crash.
