I-110 SigAlert: Elysian Park Brush Fire Scorches 2 Acres
The blaze broke out Wednesday near the 110 Freeway at Stadium Way.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A two-acre brush fire broke out near the southbound I-110 Freeway at Stadium Way in the Elysian Park area Wednesday afternoon.
The blaze was reported at 11:38 a.m., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange. The fire had burned about two acres of brush as of 12:30 p.m. Winds were light, keeping the spread of the flames moderate as crews battled the blaze. As 0f 12:17 p.m., the CHP had shut down a number of southbound lanes on the 110 to allow firefighters room to work. A SigAlert has been issued.
Smoke could be seen for miles, and traffic is backed up on the 110 Freeway.
