Fatal Crash On 405 Freeway Triggers SigAlert In Hawthorne
Authorities routed traffic off the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway to the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway.
HAWTHORNE, CA — One person died in a crash on the San Diego (405) Freeway in Hawthorne Tuesday morning, shutting down the northbound lanes of the freeway.
The crash occurred just before 3:30 a.m., south of El Segundo Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol reported. Authorities issued a SigAlert and routed traffic to the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway during the investigation.
The CHP did not release the identity of the fatally injured person nor the circumstances that led to the early morning crash.
