SANTA CLARITA, CA — An explosion at a film set in Santa Clarita injured several people Tuesday evening and triggered a small brush fire.

Los Angeles County Firefighters are battling a small brush dubbed the Rye Fire in 25100 block of Rye Canyon Loop. The blaze was reported just after 5 p.m., and it scorched about a quarter of an acre, according to the fire department.

Three victims of the blaze suffered critical injuries and have been rushed to the hospital for treatment, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Officials did not identify the victims.
