Gas Leak Investigation Triggers Road Closure In Pasadena

Authorities are investigating a potential hazardous material leak at a medical office building in Pasadena.

PASADENA, CA — Authorities are investigating a gas leak that prompted road closures in Pasadena Friday afternoon. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area around South Fair Oaks Avenue and Del Mar Boulevard.

The Pasadena Fire Department is investigating a potential hazardous materials leak at a medical office building parking structure at 301 S. Fair Oaks Ave.

They're calling it an "isolated incident and no threat to the public."

Traffic is being routed away from the area. The Pasadena Police Department sent out an alert telling residents to avoid the area at about 1:30 p.m.
