'Suspicious' Mail Sent To Los Angeles Times

Authorities on Wednesday responded to a report of "suspicious" mail sent to the newspaper company.

EL SEGUNDO, CA -- Authorities on Wednesday responded to the Los Angeles Times building in El Segundo after the newspaper company received suspicious mail, one of many similar incidents reported across the country.

El Segundo police said officers responded to the building in the 2300 block of East Imperial Highway after the company called around 11:15 a.m.

Officers later determined the package did not contain explosives, but a hazmat crew examined the package to determine if they contained toxic materials, police said.
