Infant Survives Car Crash Over 100-Foot Big Tujunga Canyon Cliff

One person died, but three people survived a crash over a 100-foot cliff Friday near Altadena, triggering a SigAlert.

ALTADENA, CA — One person was killed and three people, including an infant, were airlifted to a hospital after their vehicle went over a 100-foot cliff in Big Tujunga Canyon Friday evening.

The vehicle went over the side of Big Tujunga Canyon Road in the Angeles National Forest north of Altadena about 7 p.m., ABC7 reported.

Paramedics arrived and treated the two adult and infant survivor before airlifting them to Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center. A fourth person died at the scene.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation Friday.

A SigAlert was issued for the vicinity of the crash by the California Highway Patrol.
