LAPD Chief Michel Moore Hospitalized
Los Angeles Police Department Chief Michel Moore drove himself to L.A. County-USC Medical Center Monday night.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Los Angeles Police Department Chief Michel Moore was hospitalized Monday night for testing and observation, the LAPD confirmed.
The chief drove himself to L.A. County-USC Medical Center Monday night because he was "not feeling well," according to the department.
"He was admitted last night for testing and observation," department officials said. "Chief Moore is in great spirits and appreciates your well-wishes and support. To respect his privacy, the Department will not be commenting further."

Moore, has been with the LAPD for 40 years and was appointed chief in 2018. In his brief tenure, he has dealt with mass protests and civil unrest, the coronavirus pandemic, and efforts to defund the police.
He has not publicly disclosed health problems.
