Local Artist to Live Stream Art Show May 19 for Homeless Charity
One Lucky Person Will Win a Free Painting

Studio City, Calif., May 14, 2021 – Los Angeles contemporary artist George Medici will live stream a studio broadcast of “Why Not?,” a virtual art show on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. PST across multiple social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Twitch.
Net proceeds of art sales from the show will benefit Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission, a nonprofit community organization serving greater Los Angeles that is focused on the prevention, reduction and elimination of poverty, hunger and homelessness.
Hosted by comedian Kim Clevenger, the free event will feature Medici’s latest works, including remote videos highlighting some of the artist’s social art projects, such as “Plant Hope” and “Organic Portraits: Life on the Street in L.A.”

“This live stream will not only be about art, but also provide good comic entertainment with Kim Clevenger as host. We have a really cool cold open on why the show is named ‘Why Not?’,” said Medici. “Our goal is to raise money for a very good cause.”
During the 45-minute show, Medici will give away one of his paintings. Viewers must watch the live stream for details on how to win. Viewers can ask questions, comment and share the event across their own social platforms during the broadcast.
