Manhunt On For Killer Who Shot Homeless Man In Encino

Witnesses heard two men arguing Lake Balboa/Anthony C. Beilenson Park before the fatal shooting.

ENCINO, CA — Authorities Thursday are seeking public help to find a suspect who fatally shot a 35-year-old transient man in an Encino park.

Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department's West Valley Station responded about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday to a call of a man shot in Lake Balboa/Anthony C. Beilenson Park, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Officers arrived to find a man, later identified as Bryan Woodson, 35, suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body, police reported.

Paramedics rendered aid but Woodson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Witnesses told police they heard Woodson and a man arguing before shots were fired, police reported.

No arrests have been made, and authorities have not released a description of the suspect.
