The Mystery Of The Metallica Pinball Machine On OfferUp
Investigators are asking for help finding a custom Metallica pinball machine that was stolen in the fall.

LA VERNE, CA — Thieves usually go for easy to hide, easy to fence items such as jewelry and electronics. Custom Metallica pinball machines? Not so easy.
That may be why a stolen pinball machine recently ended up listed on the website OfferUp, according to the La Verne Police Department. And the man who listed it ended up in handcuffs. But the whereabouts of the pinball machine remain a mystery, and investigators are asking for the public's help solving it.
According to the La Verne Police Department, a Metallica pinball machine was stolen during a burglary in La Verne sometime between August of November of last year. It turned up for sale on OfferUp Nov. 18. However, when police searched the seller's home, they found no trace of the pinball machine. They declined to say if the seller is the suspected burglar.
