LOS ANGELES, CA — The Original Farmers Market and Newsstand in Los Angeles recently collaborated with the Los Angeles Times to commission local artist Mike Farrell to design and paint a mural on the historic newsstand’s exterior wall, in addition to five banners from local artists meant to represent L.A.'s diversity.
The artists were tasked to create works that captured their interpretations of Los Angeles, with the primary mural intended to serve as a photo opp at the historic Market at Third & Fairfax.
The mural debut also coincided with the relaunch of L.A. Times’ culture magazine, Image.
