'No One Wins': Celebrities React To The Chauvin Verdict
Grief mixed with relief as celebrities shared their reactions to the guilty verdict against Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd.

LOS ANGELES, CA — As the world reacted to the guilty verdict rendered against former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd Tuesday, celebrities shared their relief, grief and determination to fight for police reform.
"Guilty Guilty Guilty... No one wins," tweeted Whoopi Goldberg. "George Floyd is still gone..and finally someone was responsible... Derek Chauvin."

Mariah Carey called the verdict "A beginning.. a small grain of hope for our future."

Kerry Washington emphasized the need for healing and for the fight to continue for justice.
"A guilty #verdict. But this fight for justice is not over. We have a lot of work to do," Washington said. "There is more fight ahead of us. But RIGHT NOW please take CARE of yourself. And let’s take care of each other. Prayers and love to the family of #GeorgeFloyd."

And former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton tweeted her support for Black Lives Matter. "George Floyd's family and community deserved for his killer to be held accountable," she said. "Today, they got that accountability. Always and forever, Black lives matter."
