'Pi Day' 2021: See Pie Steals & Deals In California

CALIFORNIA — Pie, pie, everywhere a pie on Pi Day, which falls this year on Sunday, March 14.

The national significance of Pi Day extends beyond a fan base of "number nerds." In 2009, the U.S. House of Representatives passed "H.Res.224 - Supporting the designation of Pi Day," according to the U.S. Department of Commerce, making it a day to recognize the National Science Foundation's math and science education programs, Pi and mathematics lessons.

But for us non-arithmetic-types, the annual celebration of the mathematical equation equates to the perfect day to eat lots and lots of pie — whether pizza, dessert or a pot-pie entree.
