"What we can say is we have two different scenes," LAPD Detective Sean Kinchla told CBS2. "We are not sure if they are related, but that's what we are going to try and do right now and see if they're connected.
"There's one person deceased at each location, and we are not searching for anyone at this time."
Neighbors of the victim told Fox11 a belligerent homeless man was jumping fences of homes in the area and was confronted by the victim.
Lopez said the LAPD could not confirm Fox11's information regarding the suspect.
The property the suspect was found dead at was two houses away from where the victim was found, KCAL9 reported.
