Police Shoot Stabbing Suspect At Hollywood Metro Station: Report
Two people were transported to the hospital, one with stab wounds and the other with a gunshot wound, according to the LAFD.
HOLLYWOOD, CA — One person was stabbed and another person was shot near the Vermont/Beverly Metro station Tuesday morning in what the Los Angeles Police Department has referred to as an officer-involved shooting.
LAPD Officer Annie Moran confirmed that the shooting occurred around 9:42 a.m. near the busy East Hollywood intersection. As of 11 a.m., a department public information officer was en route to the scene to provide more information about the incident.
KTLA reported that the incident began when someone called 911 to report a man trying to stab them. A police officer arrived at the scene and shot the suspect.

The Vermont/Beverly Metro Station is surrounded by caution tape and Metro officials said B (Red) Line trains were bypassing the station.
Two patients were taken to local hospitals from the scene: One was suffering from stab wounds and the other was shot, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

There was no immediate word on the condition of either patient, their identities or the nature of the confrontation.
