SigAlert On 101 Freeway: 1 Killed In Suspected Hit & Run Crash

A fatal crash shut down portions of the northbound Hollywood (101) Freeway in Downtown Los Angeles Tuesday.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A fatal crash triggered a SigAlert on the northbound Hollywood (101) Freeway in Downtown Los Angeles Tuesday morning.

One person was killed in a possible hit and run crash on the northbound side of the freeway at Whittier Boulevard, according to California Patrol Officer Tony Polizzi. The crash occurred at about 6:42 a.m., and the #3 lane remained closed while authorities investigate the crash.

The CHP issued a SigAlert expected to last until 8:35 a.m.
