SigAlert: Freeway Shooting Shuts Down Eastbound 210 Freeway
A non-injury shooting shut down all eastbound lanes of the Foothill (210) Freeway in Azusa during the Thursday morning rush hour.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A non-injury freeway shooting shut down the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway in Irwindale area Thursday morning.
A motorist who confronted another driver on a Foothill (210) Freeway off-ramp in Irwindale Thursday morning was met with gunfire but escaped injury, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The motorists both stopped their vehicles on the off-ramp, where "the victim exited their vehicle to confront the suspect," Alexander said. The driver told the CHP the suspect "brandished a weapon and fired several shots," he said.

Investigators were talking to "a person of interest," Alexander said.
The shooting was reported shuts after 8 a.m. at the Irwindale Avenue off-ramp. The California Highway Patrol shut down the eastbound side of the freeway and issued a SigAlert at 8:18 a.m., according to CHP Officer Tony Polizzi.

The freeway remained shut down for about two hours.
