SigAlert: Overturned Semi Shuts Down 10/101 Freeway Transition
A semi-truck overturned, spilling a load of plywood across the freeway and shutting down the 10/101 transition in Downtown Los Angeles.
LOS ANGELES, CA — An overturned semi spilled its load of plywood into the road Wednesday morning jamming the transition road from the westbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway to the northbound Hollywood (101) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles. The wreckage forced the closure of a stretch of the freeway until further notice.
The crash occurred just before 4:30 a.m. spilling plywood across all lanes, according to the California Highway Patrol. The CHP closed the transition road, and traffic was being diverted off the westbound San Bernardino Freeway at Mission Road in Boyle Heights.
Hours later, the road was still closed.
