Sheryl Bravo, Executive Director of Westmont of Pinole will be promoted to Executive Director of Westmont of Milpitas in June 2020 when the new building is expected to open. Milpitas is the first start-up community for Bravo but one that she is looking forward to as she is returning to the community where she first started her career as a physical therapist. Bravo has been with Westmont for 1 ½ years but has more than 10-years of experience in the senior services industry. She started as a physical and occupational therapist in the Fremont and San Jose areas but took a break to become a family caregiver.
“Milpitas needs a quality senior living community and we look forward to Bravo being a big help with introducing Westmont Living to local leaders and health care providers,” said Rob Henderson, Senior Vice President of Operations, Westmont Living.
Bravo earned her LVN degree at the Bay Area College of Nursing and worked for Atria Senior Living as a caregiver and medication technician and then as an administrator for Lesley Senior Communities a non-profit, affordable housing partnered with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for low income seniors in San Mateo County for five years. While at Lesley Senior Communities she helped open six buildings in the Peninsula area. The experience of working within a small organization allowed Bravo to attend Business management and Administration at Chabot Business College to work with accounting as well as compliance matters.
