It is a record.
StubHub spokesman Cameron Papp told ESPN the price of the seats exceeded by more than $10,000 the previous record of $37,000 paid for a courtside seat to Game 4 of the NBA Finals in 2008 between the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics.
According to our rough calculations, the cost to each buyer is about $275 per minute to enjoy three hours of action.
For comparison, as he competes in this season's 106th Warriors game tonight, Steph Curry will be making about $596 per minute for those three hours, as Curry is paid about $107,271 per game.
Many say Curry is underpaid.
Papp told ESPN he could not say who the StubHub buyer was, only saying he was "well known."
