Android Phones Vulnerable to Hacking, Security Startup Says
Hackers could gain access to 99 percent of available Google Android systems.

If the NSA's storage of your phone call data has you worried, then who else might be snooping will give you more sleepless nights.
According to TechCrunch, the mobile security startup Bluebox Security announced that it discovered that approximately 900 million smart phones with the Android operating system could be vulnerable to hacking.
"The vulnerability apparently allows a hacker to turn a legitimate app into a malicious Trojan by modifying APK code without breaking the app’s cryptographic signature," wrote Natasha Lomas.
The version of Android susceptible would be "Donut" v1.6, but recent updates have been fixed.
