The suspect, identified as Jesus Quintero, 27, surprised the woman when she woke up and saw him standing in her bedroom on Oak Street.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- A man believed to be a transient was arrested in Mountain View after walking into a woman's bedroom early Sunday morning, police said today. A 55-year-old woman woke up at 4:55 a.m. to find a man standing in her bedroom in a home in the 700 block of Oak Street, police said.

She jumped out of bed, pointed and yelled at him to leave, and he ran back to the front door and left the home. She provided officers with a description of the suspect, and officers located 27-year-old Jesus Quintero at the nearby Eagle Park shortly after. Police said he matched the description and she confirmed he was the suspect.

Quintero allegedly jumped away from officers when he was placed into handcuffs, and was eventually arrested on suspicion of burglary and resisting arrest. He was booked into the Elmwood Correctional Facility in Milpitas with bail set at $51,000.
