City Planner Returns Home For Manager Job

Aarti Shrivastava will rejoin the city of Mountain View as the assistant city manager, a local government she worked for about a decade ago.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- Aarti Shrivastava will be joining the leadership team as assistant city manager and director of the Community Development Department in the Silicon Valley town she planned about a decade ago.

With more than 25 years of experience in municipal planning and management, Shrivastava is bringing her background in neighborhood building, community collaboration and leveraging regional partnerships to Mountain View.

She is expected to start on February 5, filling the position of the former Community Development director, Randy Tsuda, who left the city in late 2018 to lead the non-profit Palo Alto Housing Corporation.
