MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — A cluster of new privacy tools was launched by Google for a few of its most popular programs, the Mountain View-based tech giant announced Wednesday.

The upgraded protections for Maps, YouTube and Google Assistant will allow users to control and delete data the search engine gains access to, as explained by Eric Miraglia, the company's data protection office director.

In Google Maps, there’s now an incognito mode option that operates like the version in Google's Chrome and YouTube video program, according to the Google report. The concept revolves around a way to refrain from announcing to the world where a user is located at any given time.
