IBEW 332 & SCVNECA donate toys to Sacred Heart Community Service

Volunteers from IBEW LOCAL 332 and SANTA CLARA VALLEY NECA bring some $17,000 in Christmas donations to Sacred Heart Community Service.

Over 20 volunteers from IBEW LOCAL 332 and SANTA CLARA VALLEY NECA will caravan and bring some $17,000 in Christmas donations to Sacred Heart Community Service in San Jose on Friday December 14th beginning at 10 a.m.

The donations include gifts for kids and food donations. Sacred Heart will provide holiday gifts for over 6,200 kids and food donations for 3,000 families. Stacey Casados, Compliance Office for the Joint Electrical Industry Fund, is organizing the IBEW/NECA event. Sacred Heart will distribute gifts to kids and families next week.

Volunteers from IBEW Local 332 and Santa Clara Valley NECA will bring over $17,000 in Christmas donations to Sacred Heart Community Service. Donations include 50-20” Huffy bikes and helmets, Kindle Fires, Bluetooth speakers, Bluetooth headphones, jewelry, bath and body products and 700 hams.

Friday December 14th, 2018, beginning at 10 am - 10:45 am at Sacred Heart Community Service. Photography welcomed. A caravan will begin at the IBEW Local 332 Union Hall at 8 am to load boxes of toys and will proceed to Sacred Heart Community Service.

WHERE:

Sacred Heart Community Service, 1381 South First Street, San Jose, CA.

WHO:

Volunteers from IBEW Local 332 and Santa Clara Valley NECA will caravan to the site with boxes of toys, food, and bikes. Volunteers built the bikes, and packed the toys.

WHY:

Sacred Heart Community Service provides essential services to individuals and families in need. Stacey Casados, Compliance Officer to the Joint Electrical Industry Fund, said IBEW-NECA is making the donation “because it is important to be engaged with our community. We want to show we care and make a positive impact.”
