Man Accused Of Raping Woman At Mountain View Motel
A 23-year-old Mountain View man is accused of approaching a woman at the Super 8 motel, entering her room and assaulting her, police said.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — A 23-year-old Mountain View man has been arrested for rape after police say he approached a woman outside her room at the Super 8 motel in Mountain View, entered her room despite her objections and then raped her.
Roberto Carlo Gomes-Galan, 23, of Mountain View, was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on one count of rape, Mountain View police said Friday.
A woman from Nevada who was staying at the motel on Oct. 7 told police she got up around 3:30 a.m. that night and opened her door to let some fresh air into her room. Shortly afterward, a man walked up to her door and began talking to her.

After briefly speaking with him, she asked him to leave, but police say he instead walked into her room, offered her alcohol and narcotics, and then sexually assaulted her.
The woman returned home to Nevada and sought medical attention, and later contacted Mountain View police. The woman helped police identify Gomes-Galan, who was contacted by police on Oct. 23 and later arrested.
