Man In McDonald's Death In Parking Lot Identified
Family and friends of William Opeta, 28, of Tracy remembered him as a talented and humble man.
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- A man found dead in a vehicle in Mountain View on Friday has been
identified as 28-year-old William Opeta of Tracy, according to the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office.
Friends and family remembered Opeta on Facebook this weekend, saying he was humble, talented and would be missed deeply. He was located at about 9:30 a.m. Friday in the parking lot of a McDonald's at 952 El Monte Ave. Days later, his loved ones set up a candlelight vigil with his portrait where the car had been parked.
Police did not provide any information about Opeta's condition when he was found, but said there was no threat to public safety.
