Motorcycle Rider Killed On SR-237 In Sunnyvale Identified
When the rider went down in a fatal crash, CHP issued a sig-alert at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, but all lanes have reopened.
SUNNYVALE, CA —A motorcycle rider who was killed in a crash on State Route 237 at Mathilda Avenue last Thursday morning has been identified as 33-year-old Matthew Clements of Soulsbyville in Tuolumne County, the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner's Office reported.
The California Highway Patrol received a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a white pickup truck on westbound Highway 237 east of the Mathilda Avenue off-ramp just before 6 a.m., CHP officials said. The motorcyclist was down, and the crash blocked two lanes of traffic.
CHP issued a sig-alert for the area at 6:30 a.m. and announced that all lanes had reopened at 7:26 a.m.
