All other provisions of the City's ordinance remain in effect.

August 26, 2020

(Mountain View, Calif.) — During the August 25 City Council Meeting, Mountain View extended the local urgency ordinance to suspend evictions for nonpayment of rent for residential tenants to November 30, 2020, with future extensions possible depending on action by Santa Clara County. In addition, the period in which tenants must repay past-due rent was extended from 180 days to 12 months from the expiration of the ordinance with at least half due at six months which aligns with Santa Clara County’s repayment period. All other provisions of the City’s ordinance remain in effect.
