Mountain View-based startup Waygo announced last week that it is invited to the 2014 Southland Conference in Nashville in June.
Waygo is among a select group of tech startups and companies named by Launch Tennessee and PandoDaily as exhibitors at the conference, which aims to boost entrepreneurial growth in Tennessee.
Waygo is an app that instantly translates Chinese and Japanese characters to English text without an Internet connection. It works by seeing images, finding the relevant text and creating sensible phrases using a combination of Optical Character Recognition and translation.
Waygo was chosen to exhibit in Southland Village by a panel of investors, entrepreneurs and technology writers from across the country.
