Mountain View Police stopped subject for expired registration and had other violations on El Camino Real at Calderon Avenue Wednesday morning.

Two San Jose residents were arrested in Mountain View Wednesday morning after they were pulled over and allegedly found with stolen property and drugs in their car, police said.

Just after 6 a.m. an officer saw a blue BMW driving westbound on El Camino Real near Grant Road that had expired registration and had other violations.

The officer stopped the car on El Camino Real at Calderon Avenue.

The officer noticed narcotics paraphernalia and burglary tools in the car when he talked to the driver, identified as Juan Gonzales.

Allegedly Gonzales appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance, police said.

The officer found stolen property in the car from two unreported auto burglaries in Mountain View that had occurred in the 200 block of East Dana Street and the 100 block of Calderon Avenue.

Gonzales and his passenger in the car, Trisha Donley, were both arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Gonzales was also arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine.

Both were booked at the San Jose Main Jail.

According to jail records, Gonzalez remains in custody on $50,000
bail, while Donley was held on a $21,000 bond.

The pair is scheduled to appear in court this afternoon.
