MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA — Witness tips helped police track down two suspects accused of committing a string of auto burglaries and package thefts in Mountain View, police said Wednesday.

Dispatchers received a report around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday about an auto burglary that had just happened on the 300 block of Gladys Avenue. Police responded after witnesses described the suspects and their car — a white Nissan Rogue with Uber stickers in its back and front windows.

Police received another call minutes later from a witness saying he'd seen someone steal a package from a home on the 100 block of Savannah Loop. The witness's description of the suspect and the car matched the one from the Gladys Avenue caller, authorities said.
