Suspicious Package Evacuates Google Headquarters
Public safety officials cleared the building after a suspicious package was reported but deemed to not cause harm.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- Police cleared the scene at a Google building late Tuesday afternoon
after responding to a report of a suspicious package, according to police. The package was found to be safe at 4:18 p.m., but employees were evacuated out of a building in the 2600 block of Casey Avenue at 3:58 p.m. "out of an abundance of caution," police reported.
A hazardous materials team from the fire department also responded to the scene. No one was injured and normal operations will resume at Google. The company thanked law enforcement and emergency responders in a Tweet for their quick response.
