Keep your agenda busy with these events in Mountain View from Monday, July 8 until Friday, July 12.

Teens can learn how to play chess with the Mountain View High School Chess Club at the Mountain View Public Library this Tuesday, July 9 at 1:30 p.m. All equipment will be provided.

Join Mayor John Inks for coffee and learn about what's going on in the city this Wednesday, July 10 at Le Boulanger, 650 Castro St., from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Learn how to understand your body's cells with Sondra Barrett, Ph.D who'll discuss items from her book Secrets of Your Cells at East West Bookstore, 324 Castro St., on Wednesday, July 10 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  described as a crossroads between science and the sacred. 

Join the Chamber of Commerce Mountain View at Google on Wednesday, July 10 at 5 p.m. for their monthly mixer, where the President and CEO Oscar Garcia gives the "State of the Chamber" address and presides over the changes on the Board of Directors. Both members and non-members should check the invitation.

Curious about canning? Learn about food preservation such as pickling and making jams from librarian Candace Bowers at the Mountain View Public Library this Wednesday, July 10 at 7 p.m.

Thursday Night Live is on! Stop by downtown Mountain View this Thursday. July 11 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Enjoy food, shop, learn about the community, check out vintage cars and dance to The Peelers, who'll play at the intersection of Castro Street and Dana Streets.

This Saturday, July 13 at 10:30 a.m. the Mountain View Public Library will host a workshop on how to set-up and build a LinkedIn profile. LinkedIn is a professional social network site with headquarters in Mountain View. Registration required.
