Week Ahead: Treasury Sec'y Lew in Mountain View, TheatreWork's Other Desert Cities

Wednesday, Aug. 21

During the Development Review Committee's meeting, city staff will hear plans from Merlone Geier for phase two of the San Antonio Shopping Center. The project would consist of a mixed-used development that includes a hotel. Meeting at 1 p.m. in the Plaza Conference room at City Hall.

TheatreWork's presents "Other Desert Cities" by Jon Robin Baitz, a play about a novelist whose memoir causes political rifts within her family. Starts Wednesday, Aug. 21 until Sept. 15 at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. Cost between $25 and $52.

Thursday, Aug. 22

Learn yoga basis with instructor Jennifer Dinalo during lunchtime at the Mountain View Public Library. The adult workshop starts at Noon. Registration Required.  Bring your mat, water and wear comfortable clothes that you can move in. FREE.

Secretary of the Treasury Jacob Lew visits Mountain View to discuss the state of the U.S. economy and the Obama administration's focus on accelerating growth, increasing job creation and strengthening the middle class. Computer History Museum, 1401 N. Shoreline Blvd. at 1 p.m.
