Woman Attacked With Hatchet By Relative: Sunnyvale Police

The victim was transported to the hospital with 'significant' injuries, while the male relative was arrested, Sunnyvale police reported.

SUNNYVALE, CA — Police responded to the 1600 block of Nightingale Avenue of a domestic dispute involving a man who attacked a woman with hatchet, the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety reported Monday.

The victim was transported to the hospital with "significant" injuries, Capt. Ava Fanucchi told Patch.

The suspect, whose name has not been released by police yet, was arrested and accused of the 3:15 p.m. attack Monday.
