2 Hospitalized In French Valley Jail Fight

MURRIETA, CA — Two people were hospitalized Thursday after getting into a brawl at the Southwest Riverside County jail, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department confirms to Patch.

The incident was first reported around 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center in French Valley, according to fire department dispatch logs. Multiple ambulances were sent to the scene after the fight was first reported.

Sheriff's Dep. Robyn Flores says a total of four inmates were involved in the fight. One of them was the suspect and the three others are considered victims, she said.

Two of the victims were rushed to the hospital with minor injuries, while the third was uninjured, according to Flores.
