71-Year-Old Man Found Dead In Hemet Park
There was no immediate word on how long the victim had been in the park, or what he was doing there when he died.
HEMET, CA ? A 71-year-old man was discovered dead Thursday in a Hemet park, but there were no indications of foul play.
The man, whose identity was not immediately released, was spotted about 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Gibbel Park, in the 2500 block of West Florida Avenue, according to the Hemet Police Department.
The agency said passersby noticed the victim appeared to be unconscious, and called 911.

Fire department personnel arrived minutes later and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
"The preliminary investigation does not indicate the death is suspicious in nature," according to a police statement.

As Riverside County coroner's officials and police officers were processing the scene, one of the decedent's relatives arrived and confirmed his identity, but police declined to release it publicly.
