20 Most Popular Baby Boy, Girl Names in California: 2015
The Social Security Administration has released its annual list of the top baby names.

Californians sure do like their Noahs and Sophias.
Those were the most popular girl and boy names in the state in 2015, according to the Social Security Administration.
Every year, the organization uses applications for social security cards to rank the most popular baby names. Nationally, Noah has been the most popular boy name for the last three years, Emma for the last two for girls.

But here in California, Sophia has reigned strong for the last five years. It's been the most popular name for newborn girls since 2011.
