5 Things to Know in Murrieta: Feb. 17

Kick your three-day weekend off with Friday Night Live at Mulligan Family Fun Center.

1.It will be sunny but cool and windy today, according to theย National Weather Service. The high will be near 68. Winds could gust up to 20 mph. Tonight, expect the wind to continue but with mostly clear skies and a low around 41.

2. The closure dates for California Oaks Road at Interstate 15 have been changed due to inclement weather. The new closure dates are: Feb. 21 and Feb. 22 and March 4, 5, 7 and 8, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The roadway will be closed under the freeway overpass for removal of the temporary structures. Public safety requires restricting traffic while the steel beams and forms are being removed.ย During the road closures, detour signs will provide directions to alternate routes. 3.ย Here's what's for lunch today at elementary schools in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District: pepperoni bosco stick. 4. Celebrate the start of a three-day weekend with Friday Night Live from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Mulligan Family Fun Center, 24950 Madison Avenue, Murrieta. Pay $10.99 per person for unlimited use of: Go Karts, Lazer Tag, Mini Golf, Rock Wall, Rookie Go-Karts, and Kiddie Korral. Plus, enjoy live music and karaoke with the Friday Night Live Crew.
