5 Things to Know in Murrieta: Jan. 11

Animal Friends of the Valleys' 2013 calendars—featuring local pets—are on sale.

1. The rain has passed for now but cool temperatures remain in Murrieta, according to the National Weather Service. Areas of frost are possible before 11 a.m. Otherwise, today will be sunny with a high near 50. Tonight, expect clear skies, frost and a low around 27.

3. "Dreamgirls" actor Ralph Harris is the featured act tonight at Aces Comedy Club, 39745 Avenida Acacias, Suite B in Murrieta. 4. It's Friday and that means Cosmic Bowling is happening from midnight to 2 a.m. at Brunswick Cal Oaks Bowl, 40440 California Oaks Road in Murrieta. For $15, bowl with great music, black lights and laser lights as your backdrop.
