MURRIETA, CA โ€” A proposal to build a nine-story hotel in Murrieta is currently being reviewed, and the public can weigh in.

The 6.2-acre project site is located in the southwestern portion of the city, and is bordered by the I-215/I-15 split to the east, Monroe Avenue to the west, Guava Street to the north and Fig Street to the south (see attached map above).

The property owners had intended to build an office building at the site, but it never went forward despite city approval in 2008. Since then, the property owners have negotiated with a national chain to build a 257-room hotel, city documents show.
