Volunteers Needed at Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley ReStores

Just in time for summer, Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley is hiring for volunteer cashier positions at both the Lake Elsinore and Temecula locations.

While this isnโ€™t a paid position, it might be the perfect place for college students to spend the summer learning a lot about retail and gaining community service hours.

Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley is hiring for volunteer cashiers at both the Temecula and Lake Elsinore ReStore locations. The position is part-time and requires outstanding customer service, sales and merchandising.ย 

Habitat for Humanity Inland Valleyโ€™s mission is to facilitate the dream of homeownership and improve living conditions for those in our community. The ReStores are home improvement discount stores and donations centers that help fund housing projects in the Inland Valley.

General duties of the volunteer cashier position include:

  • Greeting customers
  • Answering phones
  • Running cash register
  • Preparing tags, signs and other materials
  • Conducting project and other research
  • Tagging and pricing merchandise
  • Assisting with cleaning and organizing store
  • Assisting in cleaning and organizing merchandise

Several shifts are available at both locations Tuesdays through Saturdays. Minimum age requirement is 18. Volunteers of Habitat for Humanity Inland Valley ReStores will receive a discount.
