Back-To-Back DUI Checkpoints Planned In Southwest RivCo
The Temecula CHP office is holding two operations this weekend.

TEMECULA, CA โ California Highway Patrol officers from the Temecula Area office will staff not one, but two, DUI/driver's license checkpoints in the region this weekend, officials say. The operations will take place somewhere within the unincorporated areas surrounding Temecula, Murrieta or Lake Elsinore.
The first Southwest Riverside County-area checkpoint is set for Friday night, according to CHP Officer Mike Lassig.
The second area operation is set for Saturday night, he said. Both are slated to run from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.

"The CHP would like to remind all motorists to not drink and drive. DUIโs are 100 % avoidable. Itโs simple; if youโre going to drink, donโt drive," Lassig said. "Designate a sober driver and get to your destination safely."
Funding for both operations comes from state and federal grants.
