Best 2020 Holiday Lights, Decorations In Murrieta

MURRIETA, CA — Looking for some amazing holiday lights displays in Murrieta? This year's Holiday Home Decorating Contest is underway and the city has released a map of all 34 entrants' addresses so you can drive by and check them out — and vote for your favorite!

The contest categories are:
* Best Block (a good majority of the homes on the block are participating)
* Best Use of Lights, (think Clark Griswold in "A Christmas Vacation")
* Most Creative (doesn't follow the norm or reference traditional themes, but makes viewers stop and say, "Wow!")
* Holiday Spirit (traditional elements/goes with the true meaning of the season)
* Most Festive (makes viewers laugh out loud; has a jolly, cheery, and good-humored theme to it)
* Best Overall (truly imaginative, inspired and innovative)

Online voting began December 8 and runs through 12 p.m. December 15. Click here to see a map of all the entrants' addresses.

The city will announce the winners by 5 p.m. December 16.
