Camp Pendleton Brush Fire Sends Smoke To Murrieta, Temecula
The blaze was reported around noon Sunday.

CAMP PENDLETON, CA -- A brush fire erupted Sunday at the Camp Pendleton Marine base. Officials reported the blaze, which sent plumes of smoke to areas as far as Murrieta nad Temecula, around noon.
The fire, which was burning near the Wilcox range near the center of the Marine base, was originally reported as three acres. By 3:30 p.m., the fire grew to 300 acres, officials said.
Crews were on scene working to contain the blaze.
