Inland Valley Symphony's Music at the Library Recital Series

Inland Valley Symphony presents another outstanding program for the Music at The Library Recital Series at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at the Grace Mellman Community Library, 41000 County Center Drive, Temecula.

This event is FREE.

Children are welcome to attend. Coloring book pages of musical instruments are provided as an introduction to the instruments of the orchestra. 

Meet the Orchestra – “The Colors of Music” Part II will feature principal members of the Inland Valley Symphony‘s brass section: 

Amy Morris & Yaphet Jones (trumpet), Dr. Bruce Clausen (horn), Kent Broersma (tuba) and guest Bret Kelley (trombone). The quintet will delight the audience with selections including:

Just a Closer Walk With Thee - arr. Don Gillis

“Gallop” from the William Tell Overture - Rossini/Lewis

The Pink Panther - Henry Mancini, arr. by Arthur Frackenpohl

George M. Cohan Medley - arr. Paul Nagle

Lassus Trombone featuring Bret Kelley - Henry Fillmore, arr. Kenneth Singleton

Barnum & Bailey's Favorite March - Karl King, edited by Jay Lichtmann

Other recital performers will include members of the Inland Valley Youth Symphony:

Cristina Bates (flute) – Sonata for Flute (mvt. 1) by Poulenc

Derrick Tiu (violin), Davey Wong (cello) and Justine Tiu (piano) will play Last Carnival by Japanese composer NorihiroTsuru.                                                                       

Special guest vocalist Nikki Sardilla will sing a duet from “Wicked” with Justine Tiu, accompanied by Derrick Tiu.
