Fire Breaks Out At Murrieta Storage Business
Murrieta fire crews contained the fire on Wednesday.
MURRIETA, CA โ Murrieta fire officials are investigating the cause of an early morning blaze that ripped through a storage facility, leading to fire, smoke or water damage at multiple units.
Murrieta Fire And Rescue was called to the scene just before 1 a.m. Thursday in the 25000 block of Jefferson Avenue, near Murrieta Hot Springs Road.
When crews got to the scene, smoke was visible and the facility's fire sprinkler system had been activated.

Crews used a saw to access several units at Extra Space Storage and soon found the source of the fire inside one of them. At least a half-dozen other units were damaged by the smoke and water, witnesses at the scene said.
The fire department remained at the scene for several hours to mop up the incident.
